Bounsel already makes contract crafting easier with templates and smart fields. But there's another feature that will make the process more intuitive and quick: dynamic forms.
These forms are a great tool to create a document using templates in a way that is faster and easier than finding and filling out every smart field within the text.
To set up a dynamic form is very easy. When creating or editing a smart field (any type works), click on the three dots "Settings" icon.
In the Settings, you can tick the "Show as a question" box.
This will open the panel further and allow you to configure the dynamic form. Write a question in the box and it will be asked when creating a document using this particular template. You can also choose if an answer to the question is required to be able to proceed.
Depending on the type of smart field, you can then set up other attributes. For example, in a Calendar smart field, you can choose the date format, select a default value or insert a placeholder. Remember to click "Submit" to save your settings.
In a Text smart field, you can always write the question, decide if an answer is required, add a default value or a placeholder and also select a minimal or maximal length of text that can be entered.
All other types of smart fields have similar configuration options.
Once you've created all the smart fields you need in order to generate a dynamic form, save the document as a template.
Now, when you create a new document using this template, you'll be asked a series of questions to go through the various smart fields until you finish.
Enter a value, text or select an option and click "Next" or press enter. The small upward arrow on the right will take you back to the previous question.
The document will open and all your smart fields will already be filled in with the correct information.
Easy and fast, the Bounsel dynamic forms can drastically improve your workflow!
